What a Stage 1 remap actually involves
Stage 1 is a software remap only — we adjust the ECU's fuelling, timing and boost settings (on turbocharged engines) to get more power and torque out of the engine's existing hardware. No new parts, no physical changes, which is why it's the most popular starting point for most drivers.

What kind of gains can I expect from a Stage 1 remap?
On most turbocharged engines, a Stage 1 remap typically adds around 15–30% more power and torque, with turbo diesels often at the higher end. Non-turbo petrol engines gain much less, often under 10%. We'll give you a realistic figure for your specific engine before booking.
Do I need to modify my car first?
No — that's the point of Stage 1. It works within your engine's existing hardware, so there's nothing to fit beforehand.
