What we fit — and why it matters
Not every tracker satisfies an insurer's requirement. Thatcham categorises trackers (commonly S5 and S7) based on what they actually do — from tracking-only to tracking with a driver-recognition immobiliser — and many insurance policies specify which category they need. We fit two systems, both Thatcham-recognised:
MetaTrak
S5 and S7 options, with driver ID and deadlock fitting available depending on the category you need.
Scorpion Track
S5 and S7 options, widely specified by insurers and one of the most searched-for tracker brands in the UK.
We no longer fit ghost immobilisers — if that's what you've been quoted elsewhere, MetaTrak or Scorpion Track will cover the same insurer requirement.

What's the difference between MetaTrak and Scorpion Track?
Both are Thatcham-recognised tracker systems with S5 and S7 options. The right one for you usually comes down to what your insurer specifies and any preference on subscription and app features — we'll talk you through both. MetaTrak Scorpion Track
Do you still fit ghost immobilisers?
No — we now only fit MetaTrak and Scorpion Track, both Thatcham-recognised.
What's the difference between S5 and S7?
S7 is a tracking system: if the car's stolen, it can be located and recovered. S5 does the same, but adds driver recognition (usually a small card or an app that has to be with the car) and an immobiliser, so the engine can't be started without it. Insurers often ask for S5 on higher-value cars.
How much does a tracker cost to fit?
